Below is a chart indicating the number of Americans who served in the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. The data ranges¬†from the United States’ entrance into the War in 1941 through the War’s end in 1945.

The next chart depicts the number of fatalities of American troops during our involvement in World War II. The data is once again separated by military branch- Army, Navy, and Marines.

The final chart, below, is a combination of the two above graphs, allowing for a side-by-side comparison of the number of Americans who served in a military branch and how many in that branch were lost.
